Poppy de Villeneuve is an Anglo-American director, producer and writer with 25 years of experience, working between the UK and the US.

She has directed long-form editorial series for The New York Times and Spotify — including Song Start, featuring John Legend, Phoebe Bridgers, Charli XCX and Camila Cabello — alongside documentary work including Destiny on the Main Stage, Lionesses: How Football Came Home (Sky Original, limited cinema release, worldwide distribution) and A Mother Inside, an ongoing project exploring motherhood and rehabilitation inside the US prison system. Her commercial work includes Nike, the NFL, Bottega Veneta and Sony Music. She is represented by Partizan.

She has two scripted projects currently in development: Hair Raisers, a drama series developed from her memoir Role Models; and Pedagogy, a dark comedy co-written with Caitlin Rider, set in an upstate New York progressive nature school.

A deep interest in psychotherapy runs through everything she makes. She is also a committed advocate for prison reform.
